How to add names under “Other” like we do under Customer & Supplier? In Receipts I need to keep a few names under “Other”. I am using Desktop version.
You can’t keep a register of Other names
But I think that it will remember names that have been previously used but there is no control on the spelling etc
Why don’t you add them as customers - you don’t have to raise invoices to record receiving a payment
Thanks @Joe91! Good suggestion! I have some who are neither supplier nor customer. That is why I understand the ‘Other” has been used in the Software. But if no name can be added to “Other” it need not be there at all. Okay. Is it possible to change the Customer as Donor?
No, you can’t change Customer
You can type in the name of the donor into the Other and it will remember it in future. When you start typing a name into the Other box, it will bring up a list of previous names that match the characters you type in

I couldn’t find the previous thread(s), but there has been discussion before on the idea of having an Address Book for all of these. It did not seem to have been added even to ideas. Having contacts all in one spot just seems logical to me. Radio check boxes for allowing A/P and A/R would identify the contact for extra purposes. One could also add “Employees” to the AB. Perhaps this could be reconsidered.

You should enter the name of the person or business for better accounting practice and easier tracking; that is exactly why Manager.io provides this option.
HERE IS HOW IT WORKS:
If you type a name once in the Other field, in the cloud edition you normally do not need to type the full name again next time; it will appear in a dropdown list when you start typing, and you can just select it.
