Creating a profit and loss statement

I am not able to get the P & L statement to reflect the journal entries. Please advise how to set this statement up.

Profit and Loss Statements don’t necessarily reflect journal entries. They reflect income and expenses during the defined period. Journal entries frequently involve neither. And the P&L statement will differ depending upon whether you use accrual or cash basis accounting. For general guidance on creating reports, see this Guide:
