On existing payment when I press the “Copy to New Payment” button, the resulting screen shows the new payment “Date” with today’s date, as expected. However, the “Cleared Date” field shows the previous cleared date and I have to delete that date before saving.
I would expect the "Cleared Date"field to be cleared on creating a new payment. Just wondering if this result is normal or perhaps a bug.
I’ve noticed this behavior as well. There seems to be very little difference between the clone and copy functions. When a payment is copied, your suggestion is a good one, but perhaps it could also look at the payment form defaults. I have the payment default set to “On a later date” for bank accounts. Perhaps receipts could parallel whatever may be done with this idea.
I don’t think that that’s intended.
The way I understood it, Copy To should create a smart copy, without copying cleared details, unlike Clone as its name implies.
I think this should be in bugs
