Dear sir, How to enter cash deposit to bank account? or cash withdraw from bank account?
Please help with this topic. Thank you.
In Manager enter a receipt or payment respectively.
By the way Manager is a double entry accounting system so when entering these transactions you will need to record where the cash has come from or going to.
For more details see the “Bank and Cash Accounts” section of https://www.manager.io/guides/ Btw reading through all of the table of contents linked will save you lots of time coming up to speed with Manager.
Read the guides as recommended by Patch but the answer you want is found here: Transfer money between bank and cash accounts | Manager
For quite some time we used inter-account transfers, but whenever importing a bank statement we had to eliminate part. There are some discussions on this imperfect implementation of inter-account transfers and as such we decided to more frequently import bank statements as they in any case produce cleared accounts receipts and payments (actual transfers) and thus also those cash we deposited or withdrew. This works like a charm for us although some better implementation of inter-account transfers would probably make us reconsider because the tab overview was helpful.
What I have seen to be the much easier way and I have seen it also implemented by some fairly large organisation is to create an inter-account transfer account on the chart of accounts. When processing entries you process them as follows:
- Create a payment in the cash on hand account and select your inter-account transfer account
- Create a receipt in the bank account and select your inter-account transfer account
Your inter-account transfer account should always be zero
- Create a payment in the bank account and select your inter-account transfer account
- Create a receipt in the cash on hand account and select your inter-account transfer account
Again, your inter-account transfer account should always be zero.
