Clarification regarding Customer Tab - Password form

I can’t figure it out of password form includes in adding new customer.

What is it for?I thought is related with managerserver features When I check in user tab it doesn’t show.

I checked the guides, doesn’t seem to me mention anything about password in customer tab.
Windows 7, Version 17.5.0

This was added in anticipation of future employee, customer, and supplier portals for the server and cloud editions. It may or may not be functional yet there. It has no effect on the desktop edition.
