Is there a way to make a distinction between a cash or paypal account? When I transfer money from pp tot my bank account I’d like to be able to follow that in Manager. Or do I just add it under the bank or cash account menus?
You can create a separate cash account for PayPal. See the guidance at http://www.manager.io/guides/receipts-and-payments/setting-up-accounts/
You will have to decide whether to treat PayPal as cash on hand or cash at bank. Personally, I’d select cash at bank and treat PayPal as another bank account. When you transfer money from PayPal to your more traditional bank account, just click on the Transfer Money button after selecting the account. It doesn’t matter whether PayPal is cash on hand or cash at bank, nor whether you click on Transfer Money from the source or receiving account. You will have the choice to determine both.
