Can an invoiced purchase invoice automatically add line items to inventory?

I am new to Manager.io. I have a quick question regarding inventory and purchase invoice.

  1. I have created a new purchase invoice with several items in it, which should be added to the inventory too.
  2. I shall be able to enter MRP (sale price) which shall be added directly to inventory.

Currently, I have only entered purchase invoice and no entry is seen in inventory.
Can someone help me?

As a new user it’s recommended to start by reading the Guides and search the forum for similar topics. You can also create a sample business to see how things work in Manager.

Sale prices are not “added to inventory,” whatever you mean by that. A purchase invoice adds the purchase cost to Inventory on hand. Manager will not use the sale price until you sell an item, and then only to prefill the sales invoice or receipt. Behavior also differs depending on whether you are using goods receipts. What do you mean by this? Where are you looking, and what did you expect to see? How did you define the inventory item?

What I am trying to do:
I have created a purchase invoice with few items.
e.g. item: Tab. Paracetamol Qty: 30, Price 1, Total 30, MRP (sale price) - custom field created - 30

What I expected:
I was expecting to see the 30 Paracetamols with respective details automatically reflected in the inventory. Looking in “Inventory Items” —> showing 0 items

Rather than writing what’s on the screen, please show a copy of the screen using a tool eg Snipping Tool in Windows available on your PC, iMac or whatever you are using

It is not clear what entries you made in your inventory item from the description you gave above

I am expecting the items from the invoice should be reflected in the inventory. However, here is what inventory items window shows (no item in the inventory):

Had you read the guides, you would have seen that you must create the Inventory Items before you enter the Purchase Invoice

Also, in future when copy the screen image, it is better to copy the Edit screen and not the View screen as pertinent information is shown on the Edit screen but not on the View Screen

Oh… I did not know that. As the software I used earlier used to create inventory items automatically from the purchase invoice… Thank you… I will keep that in mind

Guides should always be the first source of help. Next is past forum topics, where virtually every question imaginable has already been asked and answered (20,000 active topics). Only as a last resort do you need to start a new topic.
