I have written off a non-current asset but it still displays on Balance Sheet & Summary with NO value.
What can I do to prevent this from displaying, it is no longer relevant to my business ???
In accounting terminology, you aren’t writing off the asset, you are disposing of it. See this Guide:Dispose of fixed assets | Manager. A write-off is an adjustment that cannot be recovered. The asset cost has been recovered through depreciation or sale. Once the asset has been properly disposed, it will be removed from the balance sheet along with its portion of accumulated depreciation.
