Why there no option to hide details of the chart of account it seems too difficult to deal with it and also there no cost center which one of the important things
I am not certain why you need to hide details of the chart of accounts or the details from the chart of accounts you would like to hide. In relation to cost centers you can test Divisions, Groups within the chart of accounts or Projects in case they meet your requirements.
You always use Groups in your Chart of Accounts and then select Groups to Collapse to hide details
