I have a new laptop thanks to the old not wanting to go past windows 10 Manger is version 24.4.6
new laptop is version 26.7 how do I update the busnisses to not be corrupt?
To ensure a smooth update and avoid any potential database corruption, it is strongly recommended to upgrade sequentially version by version rather than jumping straight to the latest release.
Back Up First, download a full backup of your manager data. Upgrade gradually through the versions step by step until you reach the current release.
Example: From 24.4.6.xxxx to 24.8.x.xxxx to 24.12.x.xxxx to 25.4.x.xxxx… until you reach the latest version.
You can use Manager GitHub Releases Page to download your desired version, and then navigate through the pages to desired version.

@kobus_Jhg make sure you back up ALL your manager data files before updating.
Whilst there has been a lot of “good” changes since your version there is now the need to be a programmer and AI submissive to move on. Something I decided I didn’t need. Read all the forums since your version, in particular bugs, before you decide to commit to upgrade.
Just my opinion.

I strongly disagree with this advice. Backups are essential, but there is no need to upgrade through every intermediate version. Some intermediate releases may contain issues that were fixed in later versions.
The better advice is to back up regularly and keep Manager updated. If updates have been neglected, make a backup first and then upgrade directly to the latest version, retaining that backup in case it is needed.
