Unable to assign account codes to Groups in Chart of Accounts

Hi,

I am currently restructuring our Chart of Accounts in Manager.io and would like to use a hierarchical account numbering system.

For example:

  • 4000 – Net Sales → Group
    • 4010 – Coffee Sales
    • 4020 – Specialty Beverage Sales
    • 4030 – Bakery & Food Sales

However, it appears that Manager.io does not allow an account code to be assigned to a Group. I can assign codes to individual accounts, but not to the parent Group itself.

This makes it difficult to build a properly numbered hierarchical Chart of Accounts, especially when preparing financial statements for US accounting, banking, and management reporting purposes.

Is there currently any way to assign codes to Groups, or is this a limitation of Manager.io?

If not, would it be possible to add this feature?
