Transfer the monthly "Cost of goods sold"

I use manager.io to record and manage the finances of my retail business. The store uses a separate sales system that tracks daily (monthly) sales revenue and cost of goods sold. My question is: how do I transfer the monthly cost of goods sold within the manager.io accounting system? Would using "Journal Entries - “Cr: cost of goods sold” ; “Dr: inventory on hand” work?
