I am writing on behalf of many frustrated users to object to the sudden removal of the Distribution feature in the Inventory Write-off module.

This feature was an essential part of our accounting workflow, and its removal has created severe issues for us:

  1. Historical Data Problems: All previously allocated expenses have been shifted to a single default account, creating significant inconsistencies in our financial records.
  2. Excessive Manual Work: We now have to revisit and redo transactions from the past 24 months to ensure accurate allocations, which is an unreasonable demand on any business.
  3. Loss of Trust: By implementing this change without warning or consultation, you have shown a lack of regard for your customers’ needs and the integrity of their data.

This abrupt update demonstrates that Manager.io does not prioritize its users or the security of their financial information. As a paying customer, I find this unacceptable.

Proposed Solution:

  • Allow the Distribution feature to remain active for existing records up until the date of the update.
  • Provide users with a proper transition plan and detailed instructions on how to handle past and current transactions.
  • Commit to notifying and consulting your users before implementing any such major changes in the future.

I strongly urge you to address this issue immediately and find a resolution that respects your users’ needs and the integrity of their data.

Be specific. Do not just tell us a feature does not work. Explain what you have done and why you think there is an issue. If your question relates to an apparent software problem (rather than an accounting topic), tell us your operating system (including the version), Manager edition (desktop, server, or cloud), and exactly what you think is wrong. If possible, post screen shots illustrating the problem.

You better consider another application. Your recent posts are not factual but mostly AI generated, they often do not use terminology used by Manager and looks like trolling, which using AI to explain:

Please note that the last point 5 may be enacted if you keep posting AI generated content rather than following the referred to FAQ. Yes you can always use AI to improve the english language used but not just to generate lots of often well written but not specific enough content.
