Hello @masubhnai,
This could be due to many reasons, but before we place this into bugs, let’s first gather basic information and consider the simplist solutions.
I need you to provide the following information:
-
Edition of Manager (i.e. Cloud, Server or Desktop)
-
Version Number of Manager
-
The Edit screen of your Summary tab
-
Whether you recall any manual entries posted to
Retained Earnings. There’s a test that we will do at a later stage if you can’t identify the entry for yourself easily.
This leaves only this to consider before considering this to be a bug.
Now, go to your Summary tab drill down to Retained earnings and sort by Account column
Any transaction that bypassed your Profit and Loss Statement straight into Retained earnings will have a blank account field like the first row in the picture above.
Not even on the last page?
Nothing i checked both up and down
Added to bugs
@masubhnai you show summary of Transactions, where @Ealfardan shows the summary of [Retained earnings].
@masubhnai what happens when you also list the summary of [Retained earnings]? So click on the Summary page on the account [Retained earnings]. Do you see rows with an empty [Account]?
That’s right @ries, great observation.
@masubhnai, please share a screenshot of exactly this:
No Brother, there is nothing,
I sort by Account column, amount etc but nothing is empty
Is the period covered by your Profit and Loss statement the same as the period in which your Retained Earnings was accumulated?
It is therefore possible that the Retained Earnings period is longer than the Profit and Loss period, for example if the Retained Earnings period covers several years and the Profit and Loss period only covers the year 2025.
How many years have you been using Manager.
Retained earnings is accumulated profit/loss over the life of the Company…ie more than 1 year.
Profit and Loss is the accumulated profit/loss over the current financial year!
Just only 2 Months, November and December.
Just Started from November 2025 and December
