Payslip Item Bug Reporting

Hey Team

When I create one month Payslip, including Earnings, Deductions,Contributions, there is some logic wrong with the contributions item.

For internal logic, contributions item both link to expenses and liability account when setup the items. And when the payslip due, earnings and deductions appears in Employee Clearing Account in liability, but the contributions item only accruals in expenses account automatically, does not display in liability account.

That’s not balanced in accounting entry, we create contribution expenses stands in one line entry, but accounting needs double entry.

I think this is a internal bug. You can test it.

This is not a bug. Employer contributions are expenses of the business but are not payable directly to employees. They therefore do not appear in the Employee Clearing Account.

When a payslip is created, Manager debits the expense account and credits the liability account assigned to that contribution item. This is the correct double-entry treatment.

Please check Settings → Payslip Items → Payslip Contribution Items and
verify that both the expense and liability accounts are correctly assigned!

If the contribution expense is recorded but no corresponding liability is created, please provide screenshots of the contribution item's Edit screen and the relevant payslip, together with your Manager version. That would allow us to determine whether there is an actual posting problem.
