Since the sales invoice and purchase invoice forms were recently revised, the Inventory location field appears on them (if an inventory item has been selected) regardless of whether the Delivery Notes and Goods Receipts tabs are enabled. Once those tabs are enabled, the Inventory location field should no longer appear on the invoice forms.
