Improved email function so it shows PDF preview before sending

Thank you. I will try that. Thank you.

Hi sorry for the delayed response

I mean that the email body here should show rendered html with content-editable attribute

Later, when sending, this content-editable attribute should be stripped from the body

This is good and very helpful

While I appreciate the effort in creating this, would it be possible to have an option to disable this feature (maybe under the email settings) so we have something similar to the old version where it just shows the email? In fact, once the template is created, I’d be quite happy if clicking email didn’t have a second window at all and just displayed the sending animation which stopped once it was sent and or maybe the email button changed to say ā€˜sent’ once it was done and then I can simply move on to the next invoice I need to send.

Personally, I find it quite adequate that the preview is on the ā€˜view’ page and I don’t feel it necessary to view it again in another window when I send it. For me, all this does is add in extra work as I now have to scroll down before I can hit the send button. I feel that once you have a template set up, it’s not really necessary to see it every time (at least not for me). And for those people that do need to see it and or be able to manually add something to each email, then I can certainly see how this is necessary and they could leave the feature enabled.

The issue is that what you see on View page is not what is necessarily going to be sent. So the extra step is ā€œsanity checkā€.

If you need to send many emails at once, then I agree, this makes the workflow slower however your use-case needs to be solved differently. I want to add bulk emailing feature so that you can select multiple views at once to be emailed and then you can perhaps review all at once and click send.

So even though for you, this update seems like step back, it is paving way to make two steps forward in near future.

Thank you for the feedback. In all my testing and tweaking the invoice template (and email template), I can’t say I’ve seen any significant difference between the view page and what actually comes out as the attachment. But I’m quite new to manger.io so I’ll take your word for it that there are circumstances in which this happens.

I am glad to hear that these changes are leading up to a batch emailing functionality. This will be a great addition. I think for now I’ll continue to use the slightly older version (25.9.13.2768) but i’ll keep tabs on the updates.

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your effort in creating and maintaining manager.io
