how can i edit Unit Name in creating anew inventory item?

Edit the inventory item definition in the Inventory Items tab. See Create and manage inventory items | Manager. If the unit of measure you want has been entered previously, it will be in the dropdown list. If not, type it in, then select it. (It may be the only item remaining in the autocomplete dropdown list at that point.) Then update the inventory item.
