Can we link GST in to GST payable account instead of tax payable ?
The way I understand it: -
GST = General Sales Tax.
Tax Payable = Company Tax.
Unfortunately I do not use GST.
GST & Company income tax both go to one account " Tax payable ". I need to show them separately
For company income tax, you should create new account.
And Tax payable account can be renamed to GST payable in your Chart of Accounts.
I can’t see to apply a GST payment to the tax payable account via “new bank rule” in bank statement import.
The account is not listed as an option
