Foreign exchange gains (losses)

Hi there, the number in my Foreign exchange gains (losses) account is recorded wrongly. Here is the issue:

If you have recorded starting balances in a foreign currency, they will be recorded 1=1 in your base currency without conversion rate. Therefore the starting balance for the calculation is incorrect.

Am i missing something or are is this a major flaw of the software?

Okay, since there is non-existent support here and also this software has some terrible flaws i will look for something else. For this money its just not justifiable.
