Fixed assets how to

Greetings
I have red may post related fixed assets. I understand the automatic deduction of fixed assets are not possible in Manager. how do we add dipriciation for each fixed assets. do we need to go to the depriciation entries and add this value manually.?. if this is trure can someone explain why we can’t do this automatic, as we are giving the percentage of depriciation.

Search the forum on ‘automation’. You’d find for example:

I do not know how often posts have been made that make clear that Manager does not do any automation, i.e. it does not use scheduler, cronjob, etc. So no automatic emails, alerts, etc

No, Manager does not do any automation as it would require users to setup Cronjobs (Linux) or Scheduled tasks (Windows). It also would not be suitable for people using the Desktop version mostly offline. Anyway you can search the forum and find the numerous posts why automation of any task is not available and will not be implemented.

Manager’s Depreciation Calculation Worksheet currently calculates depreciation using the declining balance method. Depreciation is calculated as a percentage of book value based on the number of days in the depreciation period. If this is not your depreciation method, you cannot use this worksheet for that asset. Capabilities for other depreciation methods, including straight-line, will be added in the future.
