Great news - this something we really can use!
I’ve found the exchange rates option in the settings, but I cannot figure out how to use it. When creating a new exchange rate I can only give it a date, no value or name. And then I can find no option to use it on any sales invoice, purchase invoice, purchase order, etc.
Go to Settings > Business Details and select your base currency. Then you’ll have the option to select in which currency your accounts are.
I still haven’t figured out how to transfer funds from one cash account to another. I am just waiting for an update from @lubos.
I spent more time on multi-currency than I was planning to and had to move on to other smaller issues. I’m planning to be back on multi-currency tomorrow.
Multi-currency works but it’s not finished. You can start using it by specifying your base currency under Settings
→ Business Details
, then you can set foreign currency for relevant bank accounts, cash accounts, customers, suppliers and general ledger accounts.
Exchange rates can be entered under Settings
→ Exchange rates
but the plan is to automate this process so Manager will pull all exchange rates from the Internet automatically rather than you inputting them manually even though it is an option too.
I will finish the work on multi-currency next week. There will be big wiki article on everything you need to know.
Also can you make it so that if both accounts we are transferring are of different currencies, then ask for the rates on that screen?
Do you mean transfer between two foreign currency bank/cash accounts?
Yes. Between any two different currencies even if it is not from/to my base currency.
What I want is a way for me to quickly transfer my cash from MVR to USD/Euro and input the rate at which I made.
Hi, where can I find the update? I dont have this setting at the moment, but I need €.
Make sure you are using the latest version. Check this guide on how to enable multi-currency: http://www.manager.io/documentation/multi-currency
