Cutomization of cost and revenue report on same sheet

Please kind help me customize or generate a one time report of this nature per the attached below in a same format please

Also, I have edited your post to remove unnecessary all caps formatting since it could be interpreted as being shouted at by other forum members. :slight_smile:

Other than that, I don’t think the exact same format would be achievable using Custom Reports since those only select transactions, filter (using Where...) and summarize (using Group by...); it cannot do calculations and so the following calculated columns cannot be obtained:

  1. Unit cost – you can obtain the current set cost, not the actual historical cost.
  2. Unit price – you can obtain the current set price, not the actual historical price
  3. Unit margin
  4. Margin%

Moreover, displaying all three summary columns (i.e. Total Income, Total Cost and Total Margin) may not be possible since any filters applied using Where... statements affect individual transaction lines so if you filter one column to hold income amounts only, the cost column will show nothing since the cost lines were filtered out already.

You can however do one of the following:

  • Settle for Total Margin & Qty and calculate Margin% in a spreadsheet.
  • Create separate reports for Income and cost and later combine them in a spreadsheet.
  • Create a single report where income, cost and margin are separate rows per item which you can later transform in a spreadsheet.
