Crash when changing number format

I am using Manager 17.7.57 with Ubuntu. It crashes when i try to change the number format.
Importing my account data will make me very poor. The difference in the use of the , . in the numbers makes an large difference in my account.

Can someone please fix it?
Thanks from a happy user of Manager

Yuri

You added your report to a completely different problem that had already been fixed. So it would have received no attention. I moved it to a new topic.

Please provide more detail. Exactly what are you doing, and when in the process does the crash occur? Do you see any error message? When you reopen the program, has the format changed, or is it still the previous format?

Formats make no difference to the actual numbers stored. They are about presentation only. Your accounting data has not been changed.

Tut,

Thanks for opening a new topic.
When i klick on the link to change the number format manager stops working.
I have to close it and open it again.
There is no error message.
The format is not changed.

I tried it again just now.
The behaviour is different than in the previous versions. (before M 17.7.57)
After clicking the screen turns darker (Gray) and Manager closes it self.
That it closes it self is new for me.
When i try it now it will close very quickly. No Gray screen any more.
The language settings in Dutch or English make no difference.

I like to make the number format the same as the format that is uses by my bank for the import file.

Thanks for helping.

I can’t reproduce this, but I’m on a Mac. Any other Ubuntu users have this problem?

My brother in law has the same problem.
I will text him to ask his experience.
I didn’t have the problem when i used a Windows machine either.

I am getting an error massage now.

So Ubuntu would like to be upgraded:
[Er staan enkele verouderde pakketversies op uw systeem geinstalleerd. Upgr… apt.aptutils] etc.
Maybe it helps.

And maybe this is of use:

Ries,
Thanks for the tip.
But it is not the solution.

Try changing the date and measurement settings for Ubuntu (under System Settings) before making the changes in Manager.

Thanks for the tip DcVest.
I tried it but it didn’t work.

Any update on this? I am getting the same problem (Ubuntu 16.04).

Just clicking the “format number” link crashes the system

Crashes the entire system or crashes the program?
Desktop, server, or cloud?
If cloud, what browser?
What version of Manager?

Version 17.10.76
Desktop version, as the rest of the thread
It indeed crashes the program, I should have worded that a little better
