Cost of Inventory items

I am new to Manager, and I wanted to create opening balances for Inventory items, so I created a supplier invoice for all my opening inventory but when I went back to inventory items function, only quantities are shown and both average and total cost are shown as zero. I created a goods receipt for some of the items but nothing changed.

Can anyone help how to get the correct cost of my items, thanks.

Item opening balance by create general journal.
Debit: inventory on hand and check qty
Credit: Retained earnings

I am not sure why but it’s not working for me, the inventory on hand account does not appear under the account field in the journal entry function.

Go to sittings - obsolete features- inventory revaluation and check enabled

Turns out: you have to choose the item and the account field will be filled automatically.
