I’m closing this topic, it’s getting a bit unfocused. I’m planning to create new section under Settings
that will be called Bills of materials
where you will be able to save common “recipes” per 1 inventory item.
Then bill of materials can be attached to manufacturing order. This way you will not be required to constantly keep retyping the bill of materials. Also there will be new type of inventory item which you will not be able to purchase but will have attached bill of materials. So when you sell this special inventory item, Manager will automatically deduct other inventory items based on your attached bill of materials upon sale so you don’t have to create manufacturing order manually.
Anyway, there are more ideas that we can work on to make Manager easy when it comes to manufacturing. Just start new topic and we can discuss individual concepts separately.
