I run a private medical clinic. As required by law there is a certain fee that i need to pay to the government to renew my clinic’s practicing license. Under which ‘expenses’ should I categorize this into?
Why not have Practicing license expense account then? It’s really up to you. To setup new expense account, go to Settings tab, then Chart of Accounts.

They are usually referred to as License Fees.
