What abut banks in USA?
This is independent of bank location. This is a technology issue.
Hi lubos,
Thanks for your help with the above. I managed to get my accounts connected.
This may be a silly question but can you please explain where the transactions import to when I click the âCheck for new transactionsâ button?
The transactions import into the applicable bank account in the same way as you would manually import the transactions.
Thatâs what I thought would happen but there are no transactions added anywhere. I get the ânew transactions importedâ box after I check for new transactions.
Iâve checked by clicking:
- on the blue bank balance figure
- in the payments tab
- In the receipts tab.
- In the suspense account
Iâve never previously imported bank feeds or statements but I canât see where these new transactions are.
The new transactions would not be contained anywhere else. I think your bank feeds are not working and you should check with your bank if they allow data sharing and facilitate you enabling it.
Iâve definitely confirmed that we have CDR activated on our accounts. I also just logged into the bankfeed provider and it looks like it has the transaction information but its not getting transfered through to manager.io properly when i click âcheck for new transactrionsâ button. Iâm going to delete the connections and start over to see if that resolves the issues.
update: Iâve readded the accounts to basiq and still not working correctly.
How did you get past the âTell me a little about yourselfâ as in NZ we dont have an ABN number and the state we can not fill out? I can not seem to get past that or did I put something wrong in.
I wasnt sure if this was the right thing to put in ,in the first place https://basiq.manager.io
I am using v24.9.19.1857 in Australia. I can see the Bank Feed Provider has already been set up
When I select âConnect to Bank Feed Providorâ and then select NEXT on the following screen, I am taken to this screen (from which there is no way back unless quitting Manager).
After I log in, I select âAdd Your Bank Accountsâ and then âConnect New Bank Accountâ and eventually end up at this screenâŚ
âŚfrom which there is nowhere to go
Furthermore, the only action I can take is to quit Manager. If I sent âCloseâ or âStop Sharingâ, I am taken back to the log in screen for Basiq - and I have to Quit Manager.
Can anyone shed some light on where I am going wrong? Thanks
what a shame. I got thru the process of setting this up. all fine⌠but my bank [asn bank - netherlands] is not in the list.
then again, now with xml import update bank acc became quite easy. solved my issues with csv
So why is an Australian individual sharing most of their personal financial data with Basiq not covered by Australian Government Consumer Data Rights in particular what is done or planned to be done which violates:
-
Your data cannot be sent overseas except in strictly limited circumstances.
-
Your data canât be used for direct marketing unless you consent and itâs allowed under the CDR Rules.
-
An entity has failed to ensure the security of your CDR data or has not advised you of a data breach involving your CDR data.
-
An entity has collected, used or disclosed your CDR data without your consent, or your consent was coerced.
-
An entity hasnât taken action in relation to a complaint youâve made to them about your CDR data.
-
The CDR data that an entity holds is not accurate, up-to-date or complete or has not been corrected after youâve made a request (but you believe it should be corrected).
Not undertaking to comply with these data protection requirements is likely to be a problem for many individuals and small bussinesses.
Hi,
I use Bank Feeds for 2 different organisations, one is with Bendigo Bank, and the other GMCU.
I just tried to setup the new bank feeds feature with both entities.
With the Bendigo account, it asks me to select a bank account to use, however my business account is not listed at all.
With the GMCU account, it says âYou have no accounts available for data sharingâ and âBusiness Account not allowedâ.
Do you know if there is anything I can do about this?
Thanks and well done.
It appears that Open Banking is a work in progress for Bendigo Bank - https://www.bendigobank.com.au/open-banking/
Just ring both banks and ask them. You are on their website so they will know exactly why they donât show you something that you expect to see.
Transaction Reference Field:
I use Suncorp bank and have managed to connect my account and obtain a feed via the basiq.manager.io endpoint. For all payments into my account which get processd via osko or npp - all I see in my manager import is either âOSKO PAYMENTâ or âNPP PAYMENTâ in the description field - so I cannot use any bank rules to process these transactions.
I connected and downloaded the same data from myCDRdata and it provided an additional Reference field for these same transactions which does not seem to be provided by basiq.
Is there any way to get this additional reference field since the bank must be providing it?
I just did some further checking and those numbers in the Reference field seem automatically generated and change every time even for the same customer so wouldnât help with bank rules.
Is it only Suncorp which gives such limited data via the import? Do other banks provide the full text as provided in the bank feed view?
I havenât observed this issue with big four (cba, nab, anz, westpac). So I think itâs best to reach out to Suncorp and ask them about this. They obviously need to fix this at their end.
Unfortunately Suncorp were not very helpful - below is their response
I refer to your email dated 15 October 2024 regarding your Open Banking data feed for your Business Premium account.
We have sought clarification from the Data Standards Body (the body established by the Australian Government to deliver standards that support the Consumer Data Right) on the information we provide for Osko and NPP payments via Open Banking, and can confirm that we are currently compliant with the standards.
Please note, however, that the DSB is currently reviewing the standards related to Osko and NPP payments to determine if additional details for NPP services should be provided. We will update the information provided, if required, when advised by the DSB.
I guess itâs back to manually importing .qif filesâŚ
@bent I guess you will just need to wait it out or switch to another bank. Seems like this is known issue.
See: https://github.com/ConsumerDataStandardsAustralia/standards-maintenance/issues/673
Your issue is covered in point 3.
description value being an empty string or a type of label (such as
OTHER TRANSACTION
,OSKO PAYMENT
,ANNUAL FEE
) rather than other detail that may be available and valuable to use cases supporting the consumer.
Yes - Suncorp adheres to standard but thatâs poor excuse. Obviously that standard is not good enough.
Definitely a high demand feature in South-Africa to have bank feeds! Looking forward to seeing it.
