Urgent purchase invoice is not being registered!

I got negative QTY in my inventory for all purchased items It seems all of my purchases from the beginning of using the program are not registered!

I’m on desktop version 23.8.21.965

You need to prove your claim with an illustration with screenshots, merely showing the balances of inventory items doesn’t confirm to anyone here your purchase transactions are unregistered.

I think this happens when you enable inventory revaluation tab or create an inventory revaluation worksheet. Happened to me but I had a backup so restored it. I’m on version 23.8.20.964. It is treating inventory items like non-inventory and their cost start reflecting on P&L after purchase invoice is created. Thats the reason all inventory item got negative balances.

As @shahabb mentioned

because that is the only thing I did differently from my usual routine. But even after undoing everything using the history tab it’s still broken. Luckily I had a backup from 9:00 AM so I started re-entering everything I did today.

Okay so problem solved. You accidentally used revaluation tab and got in a mess because not knowing how to use it. You did an excellent job to backup before updating or enabling new functionality. Every user should follow such procedure, i.e. before updating, enabling, etc that may affect major changes make a backup.

Well its not that he doesn’t know how to use Inventory revaluation tab. actually inventory revaluation is in initial stages (also this feature is not announced yet) and the behaviour stated above is a bug.

It is not a bug, sorry!

@shahabb it will be categorized as a bug topic if this behaviour continues after the official announcement of the Inventory Revaluation tab

Bug or not it’s causing a problem for users. There should be at least a warning or backup suggestion here.

It would be for any accounting software important to backup before enabling or disabling any new functionality. There is no need for such warning to be permanently there. Even alert boxes “are you sure…” are mostly clicked through without reading. Also it would be better to create a test-business to test any new feature that you could enable in “Customize” to be sure you understand how it works.

There is only so much handholding that one should expect from any software.
