I’ve been a very very happy Manager user since around 2014 or 2015 and it’s been absolutely fantastic for me.
At the moment however, it’s misbehaving when it comes to printing invoices etc as it’s not using the full width of the page and leaving large margins around the page and in most cases, it’s running the printing on to a second page.
I have had a very similar problem happen some time ago and I’m almost positive that updating to the latest version overcame the problem for me.
This time however, updating to V 26.20.11.0 hasn’t done the trick for me as the print previews are still showing similar issues.
I do also have a second “workhorse PC” that I have Manager running on and after doing the update on that machine, it appears to be laying out the pages properly.
I was thinking that what may help is to take a backup of the Manager Data Files (Standard Backup) then try uninstalling / removing all traces of the existing install.
Once that’s done, I was hoping that installing the new version as a new install and importing my data files may be an option to try.
I’m hoping that someone with a lot more experience may be able to let me know if it is worth trying that method or any suggestions on what I could try instead.
Obviously, if there are any potential problems that I should be aware of, I would be extremely grateful if you could let me know that as well.
Cheers
Paul

Are you using a custom theme for your invoices? And if so, does the same printing issue occur with the default Manager theme? (depending on what version you upgraded from, if it was an older version, there were substantial changes to the way custom themes work in Manager earlier this year, around May I think)

No, I haven’t tried Custom Themes but it’s something that I will certainly check later in the morning.

I’ve also included an image that shows where the printer starts and ends it’s printing

I think the default theme includes a 10mm margin around the content (@page` { margin: 10mm; }`) which could account for the difference in the way the invoice appears in the preview vs when printed. You can change this, e.g. to 0mm, by creating a custom theme, which should then use the full width of the page.

If the problematic margins are present if you create a PDF version of the invoice (via the PDF button in Manager), it’s likely the theme that’s adding them, as per above. If not, and they’re only evident when printing to a physical printer, the issue is more likely to be caused by configuration of the printer driver settings, where there could be additional page/margin options.
