This has only been happening for the last six months or so.
When entering a transaction Manager shows a “suggested” bank account that I can either accept or change to another.
Many years ago, I was running four different bank accounts but stopped using the four and switched back to using two (I also made this change several years ago as well).
The two “dormant” accounts are still showing in Manager but as mentioned, they haven’t been used for ages.
Over the last few months however, when entering (mainly) payments the suggested or default account that appears is one of the two accounts that I stopped using.
To stop this happening, is there anything in Bank Rules or elsewhere that I should look at changing or deleting or should I just cancel or delete the old unused accounts to see if things go back to normal ?
You cannot just delete bank accounts that are no longer used - you could make them inactive
You should make redundant bank account inactive:

Hi Guys,
Thanks for responding so quickly.
I have marked the accounts as being inactive but unfortunately the problem hasn’t been resolved as it is still happening…
If I was to delete the Bank Rules, is that likely to cause any problems going forward ?
Bank rules only apply to future transactions. Once a statement has been imported, the bank rule is inert. Deleting bank rules has no effect on prior transactions.
Thanks so much Tut, it’s very much appreciated !
