Sub accounts Issue : Clients Categories & expenses

Hi!

  • Clients Categories
I’m trying to add all the accounts from the Official country’s chart of accounts used by businesses.
some accounts that i’m trying to add are like : clients category A & clients category B
manager doesn’t allow that, because all the clients are categorized under “account receivable”
if i assigned Client “X” for example to clients category A using customer control account, the remaining receivable would also show under clients category A .
for my business i think clients categories would be helpful separating wholesale clients from regular clients.

  • Expenses
i have a production order made of : raw material + packaging bottles + printed sticky labels
all these make one finished product. when this finished product is sold i want it to show separately the cost sof each component used in the production order. manager shows them all combined under inventory cost
is there any way to achieve that kind of results ?

thank you

Not sure why you would want to do this, just add the accounts which directly relate to your business, otherwise you could end up with a number of accounts which you will never need - such as industry / business specific accounts.

Incorrect, Manager does allow this via the setting up of separate Accounts Receivable control accounts - you can have one Accounts Receivable account for your wholesale clients and a separate Accounts Receivable account for your regular clients.

Not possible, the production order combines the components to create a finished goods cost, these can’t be “non-combined” upon the sale of the finished good.

ah i see I’m totally new to manager so i tried but didn’t succeed. how can i setup a separate accounts receivable control account ? is this done using special accounts ?

thank you for the quick reply @Brucanna

To set up separate Accounts Receivable control accounts you do the following:

  1. Go to Settings - Chart of Accounts and do:
    a) Rename existing Accounts Receivable to “AR Retail”
    b) Create a BS - New Account called “AR Wholesale”, Group = Assets, tick the control account and select made up of Customers.

Now the chart should look like this 0000000 Bug 2

  1. Go to the Customers tab and “edit” any wholesale customers so that their control account is
