# Separate columns for item codes and names

I’d like to share a simple visual layout suggestion that will improve both readability and consistency across the application.

At the moment, the **Inventory Items** view displays **Item code** and **Item name** in two separate columns, like this:

However, the **Inventory on hand** view displays them together in the same column, like this:

The **Production Order** document-style view also displays them together in the same column:

I think that both the **Inventory on hand** and **Production Order** views (as well as any other very similar views elsewhere) should display this information in two separate columns like the **Inventory Items** view currently does.

Code column added to the latest version (21.1.55) when drilling-down.
