Restore from previous version using appdata

Hi there,
Had an issue with computer and have back up to a month ago. (V 21.8.34)
I have installed latest version (June 2024) - and works ok but missing a few months. Not a big issue to re-add.
but I was thinking

1. If I removed latest version and add in all files from manager, in appdata, local / roaming etc - would that work? Run exe file.
2. Get the data file (which one holds all the data?) and use that in new version but issue with conflicts?
3. Uninstall new and download v21.8.34 (if I can download older versions) - and run, and then replace all files with other files from pervious install on other SSD drive.

edit of course oldest is 22.6.1.53… - would this still work with #3 option?

Yes. It would work.

No conflict. You can simply import individual files too.

So can take all old version 21.8 files and replace/overwrite in the latest version?

Wow that worked, - I am not sure how this software works but great (that would normally be huge issue) copying old files over, fyi for anyone else.
I guess I now run a back up and then upgrade Thanks for help.

And do backup your business more often in the future

And backup to a another location using a USB stick ir a cloud server such as Onedrive or Googledrive
