There is no need to have one licence for each business!
This can never be a Cloud license, because Manager Cloud is always updating its versions (for example we are in 2024 so the version number starts with 24 as in v24.2.23.1317 (the 2 is month iei February and 23 is the day). Do you mean Server Licenses?
I do not understand the question for remote access because Cloud per definition is accessible via the internet.
It appears you have purchases a server licence not cloud license, not updated the software and not set up remote access to the server software running on your hardware.
I suggest you actually purchase a server license from NG Software Manager.io

As is clearly explained on Manager’s website, both server and cloud editions allow remote access by multiple users. Both also allow creation of multiple businesses.
The cloud version includes that functionality.
The locally hosted server version license allows it but you have to set it up and maintain it.
Hence my suggestion that you buy a cloud license
