Could I use this forum to run something past the people on here please?
I edit the Manager Icon on the desktop so that I can use a keyboard shortcut (CTRL/M) to launch the program. When the program is updated, it overwrites this every time and I have to do it again.
I have considered changing the security of the desktop icon so that the update cannot overwrite the icon, but am concerned that if this icon is overwritten in the early stages of the update, the update will fail.
Can I ask if anyone else has done this?
Does the icon need to be overwritten every time an update is released?
What operating system?
Oh sorry yes, I thought I had covered everything
WINDOWS 11
I suggest you create your own shortcut with your custom name and icon name so that Manager won’t be able to delete it and use that to run Manager.
I like that idea, thank you.
I’ll give it a go
