Hi guys, I would like to have Profit & Loss by Customer Report or Income by Customer Report. Because we need to know which customers are profitable or unprofitable.
Thanks

You can’t have a P & L by customer - while you may be able to get a gross margin report by customer, based on sale price and cost of goods sold

To calculate profit by customer you would have to allocate all your fixed business costs to customers. There is no legitimate way to do this conceptually, never mind by a program

I did it by making sure all line items associated with a customer have a Division or Project assigned to it. Then you can just run a Custom Report:

- select ProfitAndLossAccount
- where Project/Division contains customer name

Because you can match substring, it’s very flexible.
