I purchase non-Inventory Items ( Fresh Fish ) which I sell Immediately. I incur freight-In expenses not billed by the Supplier. Would the in-built Freight-In tick box help me in any way? If I add freight-in I do not see the Freight amount Debited in any of the accounts. its almost as if it doesn’t exist. I cannot use inventory as I cannot track inventory.

Thanks in advance.

The point of treating freight-in for inventory items in a different way is to include the costs in the cost of goods sold. Non-inventory items you purchase are simply recorded as expenses. The only reason to define them as non-inventory items is that you purchase them frequently. An example might be copy paper. The paper might be purchased every week, but is not held for sale …
