The latest version (25.7.29) contains new “Playground” feature which should make it easier to create extensions.

The idea is to give code examples you can use in your extensions.should make it easier.
Extensions can’t retrieve lists of objects yet but that’s coming soon. This will open a lot of new possibilities. For example, extension could be a point of sale system which retrieves all inventory and non-inventory items and then can let users create new receipts more rapidly with just touch.
