Multiple instances of Manager opening in Linux/Ubuntu

Does any one know of a way to disable multiple instances of Manager from being able to be opened in Linux/Ubuntu?

multiple instances are possible in Windows too.
it helps when there are multiple businesses.

out of curiosity why do you want to disable multiple instances?

I don’t. I’ve discovered that in File I can configure so that a single or double click will open an application. My habit of double clicking was opening two copies of Manager which I didn’t need.
