I’m new to Manager to please forgive me if I am making a silly mistake.
I have followed the procedures to reconcile my credit card account, all the entries are in correctly and the Net Movement at the bottom of the screen is Nil - but when I return to the Bank Accounts screen the ‘Last Reconciliation’ column still shows ‘Never’.
As an experiment I have since changed the card to a Liability Account; the correct opening balance (after reconciliation) shows on the balance sheet but the account still shows as Never reconciled. Can someone help please?
I have a similar problem, except in my case, yesterday when I closed manager the various accounts had reconciled. today when I reopened manager they are all showing “never” except one! When I click on the “never” it is saying “reconciled” under status.
MY) is Yes Tut, I used the ‘Never’ button and followed the guide exactly, several times. At present this account is the only one which appears not to reconcile properly, a couple of others (with only a few transactions) have worked without difficulty.
Tut, Nilesh, right at the start I did say that I might have made a silly mistake - and I did!
When asked to enter the closing balance on the statement I gave exactly that - the amount provided by the credit card issuer advising the balance to pay on the due date and completely forgetting that at the date of reconciliation the debt had been cleared and the correct balance on the account was Nil. Ny non-problem is resolved!!
My apologies to all for the confusion I have caused - my lesson is learned.
