In the photo all items are listed . But I would love to see an option that enable me to list the items by any of the groups I have mentioned above . I may choose category and a drop down list shows with all the categories I have created, or a supplier or location , and so on.
Categories by the way are are important. You should have an optional field for it since you may build your cost and inventory accounts around them.
You cannot list items or transactions by data elements that are not present. You can control the data shown using the Edit Columns feature. Then, you can sort by any displayed element by clicking on the column heading.
Categories can be created using custom fields. They can then be shown and sorted by category.
Divisions can already by displayed and used to sort.
Suppliers are not characteristics of inventory items. They are characteristics of purchase invoices and payments. So you cannot sort inventory items by supplier.
Locations are also not characteristics of inventory items. They are characteristics of transactions involving movement of goods in inventory.
@fadi you seem to be using an older version. Upgrade to the latest. There is new Advanced Search function which allows you to see rows only if they meet specific filters. Eventually you will be able to save your advance searches so you can have these “memorized” views that you will be able to switch between. I think that is what you are asking for in nutshell.
