# Late payment fee

How do I edit the late payment fee that has been automatically added to the unpaid invoice?

Edit the sales invoice. Either change the `Late payment fees` field. Either change to _Do not charge_ or change the monthly percentage. You cannot edit the calculated amount. If you want to charge a specific amount, you must add a line item for the late fee to the sales invoice, posting that line to some income account.
