I am having trouble with my journal entries, when i put an entry in for the balancing figure.
How do i make the entries balance, without it increasing the suspense account. Shouldnt the suspense account always be empty on balancing the journal entries?

Journals should only be needed on odd occasions for non-money transactions
Yes the suspense account should always be empty, to avoid this all Journal account lines need to have an account name entered.
Yep its ok i have solved the problem. I was using the journal, when in fact i should have been using the main account.
What do you mean by “the main account?”
