Are you using FIFO valuation method?

This issue you mentioned i have faced with FIFO not with weighted average valuation. Anyway try this it may work.

There is edge case where this could happen. In the latest version (25.1.6), the program will ensure if `Qty owned` is zero, then `Total cost` will be also zero. Otherwise it will be a function:

> `Total cost` = `Qty Owned` multiplied by `Unit cost`

Why not make recalculate button start calculating from the start and make a unit price entry for every in and out of each item? Currently it calculates it for the last available cost (if qty is not zero). This way unit price of every item will be up to date at any date in a period and will match the previous automatic recalculation method but now with just a click.

in inventory account’s not everything must done by just a click, it must be evidence and running balances “value and qty” to avoid any trust issues,
NUMBERS DIDN’T LIE
