That’s a good point.
I think Journal view should be a special case as far as user permissions go.
Ideally, this should always mimic the permissions to the Journal Entries tab regardless of its parent tab.

I believe the current journal entry display is great, and if you mean by the permission that user can only display the record of the transaction without viewing the COGS Related DR & CR Lines, I totally agree with you
