# Google Gmail

If you are using Gmail, you have the option of having Google store and index the emails you send from Manager, so all your sent emails will be searchable and backed-up on Google’s servers.

## Step 1: Enable 2-Step-Verification

1. Open your [Google Account](https://myaccount.google.com/).
2. In the navigation panel, select **Security**.
3. Under “Signing in to Google,” select **2-Step Verification** and then **Get started**.
4. Follow the on-screen steps.

## Step 2: Generate app password

Open your [Google Account](https://myaccount.google.com/)

In the navigation panel, select **Security**.

Under “Signing in to Google,” select **App Passwords** and then **Get started**.

Select `Other/Custom name` from `Select App`. Give it a name such as `Manager App` and then click Generate.

Note down the application password as it will be required in the next step.

## Step 3: Configure email settings in Manager

Enter the Gmail details under `Settings` tab, then `Email Settings`.

- Set `Email address` to your Gmail email address
- Set `Hostname` to `smtp.gmail.com` and port to `587`
- Set `Username` to your Gmail email address.
- Set `Password` to your Gmail app password
