It would be very helpful if I could export the contents of an inventory kit. If the item description was included when viewing the kit that would also work as i could then copy and past it elsewhere.
I think a better solution is simply to add the PDF and Print buttons to the inventory kit view screen. This may be the only screen in the program you can view but not print or generate a PDF. @lubos, is there any reason this cannot be done?
Meanwhile, @turboedge, a workaround would be to take a screen shot of the View screen. Not very elegant, but it might get you by.
Actually I was able to print it by right clicking an selecting print, though it did include a blank page at the beginning. However my real issue is that the descriptions aren’t there, only the code and name. My endgame is to print some labels and I would like the descriptions to be on them. I suppose I could export the whole inventory and then delete the rows I don’t wan’t.
The latest version (17.9.90) has inventory kit view screen somewhat improved. So you can check it out.
Just downloaded 17.9.92. Looks great! Thank you so much! Now all I have to do is paste into a spreadsheet, add a column for component locations (PCB kits), and print a whole mess of labels.
Because the inventory kit is visible in a view rather than a list, it cannot be exported.
That’s fine. I simply highlighted it all, copied it, then pasted it into
an OpenOffice spreadsheet as HTML formatted text. Now I can add the extra
column and save it as a CSV file to be imported into label program.
