# Discount to Total Amount

Is it possible to have % discount to total amounts?

No. This would wreak havoc on tax calculations. There would also be nowhere to post the discount, because individual line items on the invoice might be posted to different accounts. Discounts must be either (a) applied at the line item level or (b) entered as a separate line item (as negative numbers).
