# Discount on Total Amount

Hi,  
Thanks for the great accounting software. It has almost everything we need.

But is it possible to add the discount option (in sales invoice, sales quotation etc.) placed after the total amount as a line where we will discount an exact amount or by percentage on the total amount instead of showing discount for every item?

It will look like as below image:

Hi @ahmajumder,

Unfortunately, that’s not possible.

You can either use a separate line or check the **`Discount`** box to set discount per line item following this guide:
